In the heart of the village of Fornos de Ledra, the Pedra do Olival estate is part of a long-standing family farming tradition. While the farm has always been diversified, olive trees now occupy a prominent place. Olive oil production, launched about ten years ago, is the continuation of a long-standing, patient and attentive work focused on the olive tree. It came naturally, respecting a heritage and expertise passed down through the generations. The estate covers 35 hectares, divided into plots containing approximately 5,500 olive trees. This demanding, arid terroir favors a modest production volume, but one with a rich aroma.

The secret to an exceptional oil lies in the art of observing the olive tree to understand its needs and harvesting perfectly ripe fruit, then extracting the juice the same day, without ever using hot water during pressing. This Grand Cru can be used in both cooked dishes and simple preparations. A drizzle added to steamed potatoes is enough to reveal all the subtlety of its aromas!
